Matt Coelho – CRUK Career Development Fellow and Group Leader

Matt gained experience in functional genomics in the laboratory of Dr. Mathew Garnett at the Sanger Institute, cancer immunotherapy and lung cancer in the laboratory of Prof. Julian Downward at the Francis Crick Institute, and CRISPR technologies at AstraZeneca. https://www.sanger.ac.uk/person/coelho-matthew/

Hashim Ahmed Nur – Postdoctoral Fellow

Hashim completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in the role of the DNA damage response in chemotherapeutic resistance. Before that he did a masters in cancer biology at Imperial College London. Hashim’s research interests include mechanisms of cancer drug resistance and cancer genome editing.

Eloise Lockyer – Staff Scientist – BASE Rx

Eloise has experience in CRISPR screening technologies, having conducted arrayed CRISPR screening in oncology within the Open Targets Validation Lab at the Sanger, and pooled CRISPR screening during her PhD at the Francis Crick Institute with Dr Moritz Treeck.

Jose A Dianes – Principal Computational Biologist – BASE Rx

Jose has worked in the biotech industry for the last seven years, including four years at Mosaic Tx, a Sanger Institute spin-off. During these years he has gained experience in large scale data analysis and machine learning applied to cancer treatment. Prior to that, he has worked at the EMBL – European Bioinformatics Institute where he developed and maintained different services both in house and in public clouds.
